Festival Design & Branded Architecture for BET Experience

SOCAL REGIONAL COMPANY PICNIC

IN-N-OUT BURGER ARCADIA, CALIFORNIA
SANTA ANITA RACE TRACK

OVERVIEW

In celebration of its committed Southern California team, In-N-Out Burger hosts over 20,000 guests annually for a regional family extravaganza. Our festival architects provided comprehensive event design and project management for this complex two day event, creating a unique theme concept and building out over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of infield to create a branded amusement park. The production entailed a complex choreography of 100+ vendors, including the sourcing, coordination and installation of all entertainment, rentals, lighting, power and equipment within a 32 hour load-in window.

As a milestone event surrounding their 60th anniversary, In-N-Out requested an event concept that would commemorate the company’s rich history. To answer this challenge, we imagined and executed a festive “living timeline” experience. Our producers curated a unique collection of rides and activities into decade-themed zones, and defined each area with larger-than-life “landmarks” featuring a theme character and outline of period relevant company highlights. Sample decade activations included a 60’s hippy-hospitality tent with face-painting and hammocks, a 90’s Nickelodeon inspired “Kid-Choice’s” carnival area with hourly break-dancing shows, and the iconic Gravitron ride in the 80’s zone which also featured a grunge swag activity for attendees to create customized airbrushed gifts.
