OVERVIEW 
Hudson & Nine created a playful, hands-on puzzle experience for Microsoft that invited participants to think globally about product features and build their own personalized “custom icon” representing project goals. Used inside Microsoft Garage workshops and as a mailed client engagement piece, the puzzle transformed complex ideas into a tangible, creative exercise that inspired collaboration and conversation.
We developed every aspect of the experience—from concepting the puzzle system and designing the unique set of geometric shapes, to architecting the kit components and fabricating two distinct editions: a sleek acrylic version for in-person workshops and a wood edition for client mailings. Each set was packaged in a custom-designed mailer box, ensuring the branding and storytelling were seamlessly woven through every touchpoint. The result was a fully integrated experience that blended strategy, design, and fabrication into a memorable expression of Microsoft’s innovation.
